Elina Multamäki is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oulu and a visiting researcher at FIMM, University of Helsinki. She holds a PhD in biomedicine from the University of Helsinki. Her research focuses on the biology of high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC), one of the most lethal gynecological malignancies, with a particular interest in understanding how cancer cells adapt and develop resistance to treatment. Using complex HGSOC models, she combines high-content imaging, morphological profiling, drug sensitivity screening and single-cell RNA sequencing to characterize cancer cell phenotypes at multiple levels, supported by advanced computational methods for image analysis and data integration.
